September 21- 27 2009: Deaf Awareness Week

KNAD and its 11 regional Associations through support from partner
organizations,successfully conducted Deaf Awareness week for the first
time. Activities involved offering Kenya sign language training to hearing
people, cleaning hospitals, giving public lectures on deafness to police ,
Division Officers , District Commissioners , and having processions,local theme was Kenya Sign Language,
